Ingredients
Bread of choice, e.g. sourdough, rye, wholegrain, gluten-free, etc.
Option 1: sliced cucumber, cream cheese, dill
Option 2: sliced fresh fig, ricotta, honey, cinnamon powder, pistachio nuts
Option 3: smoked salmon slices, cream cheese, sliced red onion, capers
Option 4: buttered mushrooms, garlic, parsley, Hummus
Option 5: avocado, lime, chilli flakes
Option 6: tomato, bocconcini, basil, garlic, extra virgin olive oil
Option 7: Guacamole, jalapeños
Option 8: peanut butter, sliced banana
Option 9: tabouli, babaganoush
Method
OPTION 1
To a slice of toast, apply a desired amount of cream cheese. Add sliced cucumber and top with fresh dill sprigs.
OPTION 2
Apply a generous amount of fresh ricotta to a slice of toast and drizzle over some honey and sprinkle cinnamon powder to taste. Top with sliced fresh fig and some crushed pistachio nuts.
OPTION 3
Apply a desired amount of cream cheese to a slice of toast. Top with sliced smoked salmon, sliced red onion and capers.
OPTION 4
Slice button mushrooms and sauté in a frying pan with butter, crushed fresh garlic, finely chopped parsley and salt. To a slice of toast apply a generous layer of bought or homemade Hummus and top with the buttered mushroom mix. Top with additional fresh parsley.
OPTION 5
Slice a quarter to a half an avocado as desired and place on a slice of toast. Squeeze some fresh lime juice on top and sprinkle chilli flakes and salt to taste.
OPTION 6
Dice the tomatoes and bocconcini and add to a bowl. Add finely chopped fresh basil, crushed fresh garlic, extra virgin olive oil and salt and stir well before adding to a slice of toast.
OPTION 7
Top a slice of toast with a generous amount of homemade Guacamole and add extra jalapeños as desired.
OPTION 8
Add a generous layer of pure peanut butter to a slice of toast and top with sliced banana.
OPTION 9
To a slice of toast, add bought or homemade babaganoush and top with fresh homemade tabouli.
